DESCRIPTION
These are a few additional projects including typographic books, web redesign using typography for web, infographic design and Photography and type books.
TYPOGRAPHY FOR DIGITAL MASTERS
The purpose of the project was to chose a website with poor typographical design and redesign it for screen resolution and legibility with an emphasis in composition, grid, and aesthetics using web friendly fonts and UX principles for optimal purpose and message.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Come up with a unique design solution for a full magazine layout based on common theme; ocean. Each spread contains a poem relating to the beauty of the ocean. The purpose of this project was to use our own images and create a consistent layout and good use of typography relating to our theme.
FADED ADS OF SAN DIEGO
This is a handcrafted book that involve my two favorite things: typography and photography. The 3 photos furthest left are a collection of Faded Ads around San Diego.
TYPOGRAPHY BOOK DESIGN
The first group of three photos include a typographic hand crafted book I created. Along with matching typographic memory cards.
PHOTOGRAPHY & TYPE BOOK
The second group of 3 are a collection of my own favorite photos that I have taken throughout life mixed in with sheets of velum printed with complimenting lyrics from various songs.
INFOGRAPHIC DESIGN
The second group of three photos was an information graphic design project. To translate complex information into a visual communication system. The topic was about running barefoot and how shoes alone can be the cause of any and all the pain you might have when running.
SDSU BENCH COMPETITION
SDSU held a competition that was open to only the art students on campus for an opportunity to paint one of the benches in the performing arts plaza. My design was selected and I was one of the few that was able to leave my mark on the SDSU campus. The concept for my bench is to provide a place where students and visitors on campus to be able to gather a sense of free thought free from time and the crazes of life. My approach was to have a hand-done look to the bench instead of tracing the design perfectly first. I thought it would help to evoke a messier and swirling feel if every music note and tea cup had a different look and size.
