Process

Discovery → Exploration → Design → Refine → Implementation.

Phase 1: Discovery & Requirements Alignment Partnered with clients to define business objectives, audience targets, brand positioning, technical requirements, and success criteria. Established scope, timelines, and constraints to guide creative execution.

Phase 2: Strategic Exploration Developed creative directions aligned to business goals through mood boards, layout explorations, messaging frameworks, and early prototypes. Presented concepts to stakeholders to validate alignment before production.

Phase 3: Design Execution Produced final designs across web, digital, and print channels, ensuring cohesion and scalability. This included website design and development (WordPress and Squarespace), digital campaigns, branding systems, and large-format print assets.

Phase 4: Refinement & Iteration Facilitated structured feedback cycles with clients, incorporating evolving requirements while maintaining brand integrity and project timelines. Balanced creative vision with stakeholder input, managing multiple revision rounds across concurrent client accounts.

Phase 5: Implementation & Launch Managed technical build, QA, deployment, and post-launch adjustments. Ensured accuracy across platforms and provided ongoing maintenance and optimization as needed.

Reflection

What I'd do differently.

Working with small businesses and nonprofit organizations highlighted a common challenge: many clients lacked organized, high-quality brand assets needed to support consistent marketing efforts across digital and print channels. In hindsight, I would have pushed even more toward establishing lightweight brand systems for clients rather than delivering one-off assets.

While my work helped provide high-resolution logos, marketing graphics, and print-ready materials, I would focus even earlier in the process on helping clients build sustainable asset libraries, style guides, and simple brand guidelines. This would empower small businesses to maintain consistency and continue producing high-quality visuals long after project completion.

This experience reinforced the importance of designing not just for immediate marketing needs, but for long-term scalability and accessibility of brand assets for organizations with limited internal design resources.
